I purchased this typically for some trimming roles round the house alongside for my woodworking pursuit. However for the 1st job I required it for a little framing job. The Porter-Cable C2002-WK Oil-Free UMC Pancake Compressor is light ( 34 lbs. ) but is still a strong compressor for its little footprint / low profile. Since it is oil free there is not any oily remnant round the motor or on your floor. Start up is spontaneous without blowing your fifteen amp circuit breaker, but if you’ve got other electric appliances running of the same circuit, I would suggest employing a different electric outlet.

Since this unit has a tiny footprint / low profile, it’s a breeze carrying it to different locations when required. This compressor is remarkably OK for the basic home-owner / household jobs : blowing off your workbench, tire inflation, blowing out those dusty / dirtied vacuum filters and for the odd do-it-yourselfer nail gun roles round the house with the higher 130-150 PSI settings.

The Porter-Cable C2002 has a larger holding tank ( six gallon ) and higher CFM than most compressors in this class class and it is a cut above in designed than most other little compressors. So far as some comments about this unit being too loud, in my judgment it isn’t any louder than any other compressor of similar size or capacity. Super easy!!

This compressor worked fine for my wants. I was in a position to fill the air in my tires and power my new impact hammer. Beginning it up was simple ; plug it in, close the drain valve, turn it on, wait about ninety seconds for the tank to fill, and then just set the regulator to the required 90psi. The regulator permits you to go higher ( 120-150psi ), but my tool only required 90psi.

The tank also has 2 female fast connects so that 2 folk can use separate nail guns off this single compressor. It includes an acceptable hose already set up with a male end to go into the tank and a female end to hook up with 2 other male fast connectors ( one for the tire inflator end and one for the nozzle tool ). The nozzle tool connects to several little tips for either connecting a length of hose, increasing junior’s pool, filling my basketball, and so on. All That I need now may be the 2nd hose and some more air tools. My only caution is that these electrical compressors are a little loud.

I was so happy to check it out, that I set it up inside and that was loud within – wear hearing protection. I will assume that petrol compressors are easily as loud and should not be run inside because of the smoke ; my compressor had no smoke.
